Saddle Trials

While we always try to fit our riders in person, we do understand that this is not always a possibility. The solution? Shipped trials! If you're looking for an in-person saddle fit, please refer to our "Request a Fitting" form. If you're looking for a companion to a saddle trial, check out our Simple Saddle Check guide! As always, we are more than happy to work with you via phone, email, text, or video call; we want you and your horses to be happy, healthy and thriving in a saddle that fits!

*By placing your order with CommonWealth Saddles, you are agreeing to our Saddle Trial Policy as detailed below; we are pleased to offer 7 day trials on all available, in-stock, demo, used and/or consignment saddles listed on our website, unless otherwise specified. All saddles must be paid for in full prior to going on trial.*

Saddle Trial Policy

-Length of trial is 7 days.

-Trial length is calculated from the date of delivery plus 7 additional calendar days.

-Please note: while we always do our best to ship saddles as soon as possible, please allow up to 10 business days for shipping confirmation. Our inventory is divided between our fitters across Canada and the USA, so our shipping times may vary depending on fitter schedules.

-Please inspect the saddle upon arrival for any damage. Any damage resulting from shipping must be reported immediately to Office@commonwealthsaddles.com upon the saddle's arrival with you.

-A signature is required for delivery of a saddle. Please ensure you provide a shipping address where someone will be available to sign for the delivery. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping details. CommonWealth Saddles is not liable for incorrect shipping addresses provided by the consumer.

-If you wish to return the saddle during the trial period, you MUST communicate that the saddle is going to be returned by contacting office@commonwealthsaddles.com. We must receive this communication prior to the end of your 7 day trial period. The saddle must then be in the mail within a timely manner (24 hours maximum). If your trial ends on the weekend, the saddle must be in the mail by the coming Monday. Please email tracking numbers to office@commonwealthsaddles.com as soon as you have them.

-Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. We highly recommend return shipping with tracking and insurance.

-A 3% restocking fee will be subtracted from your refund.

-A $50 cleaning fee will be subtracted from your refund if the saddle is returned dirty.

-We will not accept saddles that are returned in any other state than that which they were sent away. Any damage to the saddle will void the return policy. We highly suggest you return ship your saddle with insurance and tracking. Any damage to the saddle during a trial or during return shipping will be the customer’s responsibility, and no refund/return will be possible.

-All available, used or consignment saddles are sold as-is and without any warranty on behalf of CommonWealthSaddles. Stock and demo saddles are sold with manufacturer warranties in place. The trial period serves as your opportunity to inspect and test ride the saddle. We encourage you to have a knowledgeable individual look at the saddle and ensure the fit for you and your horse.

*No refunds will be offered as a result of any saddler or trainer inspections made after the trial period has ended. We are not responsible for any suitability or condition issues brought to our attention after the trial period ends. Used saddles are sold AS IS.

Return Address: Please contact us for the return address of the saddle.

Failure to comply with trial policy will result in the immediate and final sale of the saddle.
